Visitor Information<\/strong>
\nDue to the renovation works in the Veszpr\u00e9m Castle District, readers and researchers are currently received in the former seminary building, located behind the Veszpr\u00e9m Theological College, which now serves as the temporary home of the Archiepiscopal Office.
\nFrom the bus station and railway station, the institution can be reached with a 20-minute walk or by buses No. 1, 2, or 10. If arriving by car, please use the parking lot on the college grounds and inform the reception desk of the purpose of your visit.<\/p>\n

Library<\/strong>
\nAny Hungarian citizen or foreign researcher over the age of 18 may register free of charge. Certain services can also be used without full registration after a simple sign-up process.<\/p>\n

Archives<\/strong>
\nResearchers are welcome in our archives as well \u2013 registration is available from the age of 18. Before starting your research, please fill in our registration form, which should include your personal details as well as the subject of your research. The form is available on our registration page.
\nFor restricted materials, you must submit a formal request<\/a> for access. This must be accompanied by a letter of support from a higher education institution or research institute, and the director of our institution also has the right to request such a letter from you. Access to restricted materials is granted based on the submitted documentation.
\nRegistration is free, but archival services (e.g. photocopying, data retrieval, digital photo tickets, etc.) are subject to fees as set out in our Reading Room Regulations<\/a>.

Visiting for General Interest and with School Groups<\/strong>
\nOur archives are open not only to researchers. On request, we offer guided archival tours introducing the history and role of the Archdiocese of Veszpr\u00e9m and its archives. Visitors will learn what types of documents and charters we preserve, the difference between loose and bound archival materials, the special storage conditions required to preserve them, and the kinds of research they can support. Some documents can also be viewed and handled during the tour. Archival tours are open to visitors aged 12 and over.<\/p>\n

For school groups, we also offer \u201carchival education\u201d activities: children aged 10\u201316 can learn about the making of medieval charters and the basics of heraldry in a playful, interactive way.<\/p>\n
